TWO teenage thugs were locked up for 5½ years yesterday for a savage attack that left a dad-of-two unrecognisable.

Darren Wheeler, 19, and Stuart Kisby, 18, kicked and stamped on Stephen Swallow, 43, after smoking cannabis during an all-day drinking session.

Mr Swallow’s jaw was so fractured it came loose from his skull, which was also broken.

His eye socket and nose were badly damaged and his face had to be reconstructed.

Mr Swallow had felt a blow to the back of his head as he walked through Lincoln, the city’s Crown Court heard.

Prosecutor Phil Howes said: “He turned and saw two males and asked, ‘What have I done’?

“One youth said ‘You ain’t done nothing. We’re just going to have you.’”

When Wheeler was arrested his trainers were soaked in Mr Swallow’s blood.

The youths, both of Lincoln, had been smoking cannabis and drinking before the attack. They admitted GBH.
